Duana Patton is CEO of the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc., a private nonprofit serving 9 counties in Ohio whose annual revenues total over 40 million dollars. Duana is also the President/CEO of the Area Agency on Aging Foundation, which she co-founded in 2011. She has 34 years of experience in executive leadership and has helped grow businesses and develop teams. Duana values community and seeks opportunities that will enhance the lives of others.
Duana is a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer and Executive Coach. She also received certification as a SAOL (Strategic Agile Organizational Leadership) Coach and Consultant and an Emerging Leader Training Certificate from the Rubi Ho Group and Miami University in 2017. Duana enjoys presenting on topics such as board governance, customer service and leadership. Duana has facilitated numerous strategic planning sessions and board retreats.
Duana serves on local, state and national boards including the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging, Direction Home, LLC; North Central State College Foundation; and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. In 2018, Duana was appointed by Ohio Governor, John Kasich, to the Ohio Housing Finance Agency Board.
Duana holds an MBA in healthcare and a bachelor’s degree in business both from Western Governor’s University.
